This is the trailer for Landings 2019 that I puttogether. It was challenging working out how everything needed to flow and fit together. When I did figure it out, it wasn’t that difficult putting it together. The planning and figuring it out are the hardest parts for me. The hands-on work takes time, but I enjoyed doing it. ‘Landings’ is a collection of current work by students and staff of the Online MA Photography course at Falmouth University. It runs from 16-25 August.
Thick low hanging clouds can fill a valley so that from above you can’t see much of anything. When it starts to clear, that is when fog can have an even more magical effect on a place.
Taking a hike on a rainy day can be risky when your main goal is finding something to photograph. Get out there anyway! The worst that will happen is you will get some exercise.
Sometimes just getting out there can be a reward in itself. Other times, with some planning, and a little bit of luck, you will be rewarded in ways you cannot imagine.
I woke up in my room in Falmouth back in March and saw this. The light, the shadows, and the shapes. I liked it, I took this photo. I laid back down and shut my eyes. It was five past seven in the morning.
A lot has changed since the last time I wrote a post here. We are now living in the UK, and I have started my Master of Art in Photography. The move was an adventure that anyone who has ever moved more than a few hours drive away much less overseas, can understand. We have settled in nicely so I won’t go into too much about that. The new adventure I have started is what I want to talk about, the MA in Photography. Getting a Master’s Degree has been something I have been thinking about for quite some time….
